Tell Me a Story January 2019 - Blast from the Past

Alaska 2009/10

I recently found my old hard drive with pictures from my last full winter and summer in Alaska. I took these photos with the Casio I had at the time.

Family clamming trip to Clam Gulch.

Low tide at sunset with Mt Redoubt in the background.

Mt Iliamna across Cook Inlet

Due to the red tide clamming is no longer permitted in this area of Alaska :(

Winter 2009/10

Mt Susitna (Sleeping Lady)

Winter Sunset over Cook Inlet (March)

Moon rising over the Matanuska Valley (Wasilla)
I don't often miss living in the frigid North (Alaska), but I have to admit looking at these photos made me a little home sick. It wasn't all bad, just long, cold, dark winters, but eighteen years was enough.
