One of six Russian Sailors of the Russian Imperial frigate Svetlana died of 

typhus and buried in the cemetery in 1877.

There were so many Unknown sailors.

I recently found my old hard drive with pictures from my last full winter and summer in Alaska. I took these photos with the Casio I had at the time.

I don't often miss living in the frigid North (Alaska), but I have to admit looking at these photos made me a little home sick. It wasn't all bad, just long, cold, dark winters, but eighteen years was enough.

Spent Thanksgiving evening enjoying the holiday light display at the Botanical Gardens. I was hoping the lights would turn out better, but it was far too cold and windy out to stand around in order to set up a nicer composition.
