Thanksgiving Weekend Around Hampton Roads

Had a friend and her family visiting from Savanah for the weekend. We spend the weekend absorbing the beautiful fall colors and prepping for Christmas. It was wonderful to catch up while enjoying the local sights.

Smithfield Photo Walk

I've wanted to do a Scott Kelby Photowalk for years, but never had the opportunity to do so until this year. I've also wanted to take photos of old town Smithfield for a while as well, so I was determined to make the photowalk regardless of how ill I felt the day of. I'm so glad I did.

Tell Me a Story August 2017

August 2017

This month my daughter and granddaughter came down for a few days before our road trip to New Orleans.

My granddaughter's reaction when my oncologist started his exam. She didn't like him from the moment he stepped into the office. 

She was completely fascinated by the fairy lights. Meanwhile Grammy lost a soft fuzzy scarf, which she played with throughout the road trip. 

"Well of course you can share Grammy's ice cream."

She absolutely loves elephants. 

She thought he was kind of cool too.

Around New Orleans

This was the first trip my daughter and I have taken together as adults. Then adding my granddaughter to the trip made it really special. I really enjoy being able to spend three full days with my granddaughter while my daughter participated in a conference. We were all exhausted at the end, but was well worth it.
