Venice
(and neighboring islands)
April 2015
My goal was to do the entire trip in black and white but after booking a boat tour to Burano I knew black and white would not do the colorful island buildings justice.

Venice is one of my favorite places to photograph, but the short visit to Burano (for the first time) makes me want to go back for more photo opportunities.

What a beautiful place. Love the color buildings along the canal, but my favorite is of the selective coloring of the canal with the buildings in B/W! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAmazing colors! The first photograph of Murano is perhaps my favorite. Lovely.

I agree! The colors were definitely needed in the photos! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteagreeing with everyone else.. love the bright colors and seeing Venice through your eyes! thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh I long to see these places for real. How amazing it looks!
ReplyDeleteI love your images this month Beth - it is really hard to choose a favorite. I love the colors, I love the blur - just gorgeous. I am not sure that I visited that part of Venice when I was there years ago. But I do remember the bridge of sighs. Perhaps they have painted since 87. I do remember being told that if we fell in the water we would have to have our stomach pumped. Images 9, 10 and 11 are my favorites. Great share this month.
